# Fictional lead routing: Mossbridge Demo

**Synthetic example.** The organisation, people, leads and events below are invented. This is a manually authored illustration of the routing rules format. It demonstrates neither a live routing system nor AI-generated accuracy. No real customer or prospect information is used.

Mossbridge Demo is an invented company selling field service scheduling software. The rules below are its fictional agreement; the values are chosen for illustration, not recommended.

## The agreed rules (fictional)

- Qualification: a demo request or contact-sales form, from a company of 50 to 1,000 employees, in a covered region, with sales-contact consent.
- Covered regions: Nordics, DACH, UK and Ireland.
- Response window: two working hours from submission to first personal response. Working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Europe/Helsinki, Monday to Friday. An automated acknowledgement does not count.
- Capacity: an owner at eight open leads for the day is skipped.
- Fallback owner: Inbound sales lead.
- Escalation contact: Sales development manager.

Assignment order:

| Order | Condition | Assign to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Existing customer account | Account owner |
| 2 | Open lead or opportunity | Current owner; merge the duplicate |
| 3 | Named account | Named account owner |
| 4 | Territory match | Territory pool, round robin among available owners |
| 5 | Region not covered | Fallback owner |
| 6 | No available owner | Fallback owner |

## Five leads, 20 October 2026

### LEAD-101: Fernhollow Freight Demo (standard route)

- Qualified: demo request; 220 employees; Finland (Nordics); consent recorded.
- Match: no existing contact or account for fernhollow.example. New account created after the match check.
- Rule: 4. Nordics pool. Next in rotation is Sales development rep, Nordics 1 (three open leads, under capacity).
- Assigned: 09:13. Response due: 11:12.
- Reason passed to the owner: "Demo request from the pricing page. Schedules about forty technicians by spreadsheet; asked to see the dispatch view."

### LEAD-102: Kestrel Ward Demo (existing customer)

- Qualified: not as a new-business MQL. Recorded as a customer expansion request.
- Match: email domain kestrelward.example matches customer account DEMO-ACC-207.
- Rule: 1. Account manager, Nordics. The round robin is not used, so no new-business rep contacts a current customer.
- Assigned: 10:06. Response due: 12:05.
- Reason passed to the owner: "Customer asking about the inventory module for a second site, via the in-product banner."

### LEAD-103: Larchgate Utilities Demo (duplicate)

- Qualified: demo request; 610 employees; Germany (DACH); consent recorded.
- Match: same contact as LEAD-098, submitted 19 October at 16:20 and owned by Account executive, DACH. No open opportunity.
- Rule: 2. Merged into LEAD-098. No new assignment and no new clock.
- Check: LEAD-098's window ran 16:20 to 17:00 on 19 October and 09:00 to 10:20 on 20 October. No first response is recorded, and the second message says "following up on my request". The window has passed.
- Action: escalation notice to Sales development manager at 11:41. The account executive may have responded without logging it; confirm before reassigning.

### LEAD-104: Pinheiro Vale Servicos Demo (out of territory)

- Qualified: no. Request type and size fit, but Brazil is not a covered region.
- Match: no existing contact or account.
- Rule: 5. Fallback owner (Inbound sales lead) for review.
- Response due: 15:30, from the fallback owner.
- Open question: whether a partner covers Brazil. The partner agreement is not in the fixture, so the fallback owner should not promise a referral until it is confirmed.

### LEAD-105: Ashcombe Facilities Demo (no owner available)

- Qualified: demo request; 450 employees (as entered on the form, not verified); United Kingdom; consent recorded.
- Match: no existing contact or account.
- Rule: 4 found no available owner. UK and Ireland 1 is on leave until 23 October; UK and Ireland 2 is at daily capacity. Both skips are logged.
- Rule: 6. Fallback owner (Inbound sales lead).
- Assigned: 15:56. Response due: 09:55 on 21 October, because the clock pauses at 17:00.
- Reason passed to the owner: "Partner referral from a maintenance contractor. Asked for a call this week."

## Human review

RevOps must confirm the LEAD-102 and LEAD-103 matches, check whether LEAD-098 received an unlogged response before any reassignment, and decide with Sales whether two UK owners being unavailable on the same day needs a rule change. The example includes no completed follow-up, conversion or response-time result.
